The U.S. EPA’s Information Center can assist callers in understanding the TRI regulations, guidance, and reporting requirements, as well as properly completing forms with TRI-ME and TRI-MEweb. The Information Center does not provide regulatory interpretations. They do, however, maintain up-to-date information on the availability and distribution of publications and other resources pertaining to Information Center program areas.
This resource is greatly underutilized as many in the TRI community are unaware of the Information Center. This webinar offers an opportunity to raise awareness of the Information Center, to explain the services and assistance it provides, and point attendees to additional TRI resources.
EPA conducted a webinar on the basics of TRI.NET for OMB Watch and at least 18 other NGOs on Tuesday Feb. 8th. The 1-hour presentation gave a basic introduction to TRI.NET, and ran through example queries that covered topics of interest including environmental justice, aggregating data by parent company, and acquiring data of interest to community groups.
This online tutorial is being made available at ChemicalRight2Know and consists of both streaming and downloadable versions of the webinar as well as follow-up questions and answers.
