Join EPA for their webinar–“Upgraded Water Pollution Info Tool” on September 12th from 2:00–3:00 pm Eastern time.
Did you know that EPA has created a way to find information about who is discharging and what is being released into local waterways? It’s true! The DMR-TRI Pollutant Loading Tool uses discharge monitoring report (DMR) data submitted under the Clean Water Act and pollutant discharges reported under the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) program to allow users to find the “who”, “what” and “where” for water pollutant data. The tool provides a flexible and easy approach towards searching, displaying, and downloading information that you can use.
To find out more, join EPA’s Carey Johnston on September 12, 2013 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm Eastern time for a webinar on this topic. Carey will provide an overview of the Loading Tool and then delve into the new enhancements that will make it easier to compare and contrast similar wastewater pollutant releases reported through the DMR and TRI programs for industrial facilities. These new enhancements were developed to provide more insights into wastewater pollution such as identifying the receiving waterbody impairment status; whether discharged pollutants contribute to a waterbody impairment; and whether the discharge is located in a county with Endangered Species Act listed aquatic species.
