The Toxics Release Inventory Program is pleased to announce the release of the initial 2010 TRI dataset. The initial dataset is available through the TRI website in downloadable data files and through Envirofacts, one of EPA’s popular data access tools. The files will also be accessible through links from Data.gov. We estimate that the dataset is 95% complete. We plan to update the dataset in August, September and October as we continue to process facility reports for 2010. Additional information is available in the Q&A document on the TRI website.

As a reminder, the Agency plans to issue a press release, but this will not go out until the week of August 8 (planned). We will let you know as soon as the press office gives us a firm date. Please hold any regional press releases until after the official Agency press release has gone out.
